I would like to thank everyone who came to watch me and the other four competitors perform at Edmonton CBC centre stage for the 2009 CBC Poetry Faceoff, and everyone who voted for my poem during the national competition. There was some fierce competition, but at the end of the day, my poem was selected as the winning piece for Edmonton and placed third nationally.
